In case you missed it, last week we made an exciting update to the channel publishing controls! The feedback for this release has been overwhelmingly positive, but as always, if you have any thoughts or feedback, we'd love to hear from you. Just drop us a note using the form to the left.

However, new publishing controls weren’t the only thing our Eng team had cooking this past week. In parallel, the team cranked through 20+ bugs and even sprinkled in some fit and finish work.

As Vincent van Gogh once said, “Great things are done by a series of small things brought together.” And in that light, we wanted to highlight the long list of small improvements and updates we deployed last week.

      Bugs

Each of the following issues has now been resolved:

      Editor & Content

      • Addressed a bug where certain media types were not attaching correctly in the editor

      • Improved how the editor handles different content node types for more consistent formatting

      • Increased reliability in media handling by fixing broken links, blank URLs, and image-rendering quirks

      • Fixed label search loading intermittently in the editor

      • Updated copy across the new publishing experience to improve clarity and consistency

      • Improved editor stability and rendering through several underlying fixes

      Analytics & Dashboard

      • Corrected AM/PM formatting in the analytics dashboard

      • Corrected date formatting in the Widget Dashboard metrics

      • Fixed hour-of-day reporting in analytics for more accurate engagement tracking

      • Resolved discrepancies between analytics shown in the management portal vs. individual announcements

      Integrations & Syncing

      • Improved reliability of Jira issue syncing into the editor

      • Updated deprecated Jira endpoints to ensure long-term integration reliability

      • Eliminated a Confluence integration error that caused some users to see a 410

      • Improved domain matching during user creation to more reliably match new teammates

      UI, UX & Platform Stability

      • Resolved intermittent 404 errors occurring on some sitemaps

      • Fixed labels not being respected when sorting between pages

      • Fixed publishing permissions not defaulting to “on” for new users

      • Improved roadmap label pagination so large roadmaps load more smoothly

      • Cleaned up subscriber exports to generate easier-to-use CSV files

      • Improved pagination for announcement lists, especially in workspaces with high volumes of updates

      • Enhanced label search filters for faster and more accurate results

      Jira Integration Enhancements

In addition to a very successful bug bash, the team also shipped the two most requested updates for our Jira integration:

      • Include In Progress work: By (very) popular demand, you can now include work that’s in progress in your automated updates from Jira. So if you want to generate a quick update to send to your team on a specific project or workstream, you can do so with a click using our AI writing assistant in Jira.

      • Faster AI-generated content creation: Speaking of our AI writing assistant in Jira, it now drafts content in LaunchNotes significantly faster.

      …oh, and one more thing

While shipping a number of editor upgrades, we also laid the groundwork for some upcoming “collaborative” functionality. But that’s all we’re going to say about that for the moment.

      Thank you

As always, we can't thank you enough for your support, engagement, and patronage. Each of the bug reports and feature requests came from you, our amazing users. And we want you to keep the feedback (and bug reports) coming! To reach our team any time, simply drop us a line to the left.
